Having a chaotic and unconventional upbringing led me to songwriting and music as a way to deal with the deep bottled feelings I could not process until much later in life.
In my mid 20's I moved to Los Angeles performed at landmark LA clubs including the Whiskey a Go-Go and the Troubadour. I was meeting a lot of people in music and notably co-wrote a song with Jeff Silbar (Wind Beneath My Wings). I started recording a first record with many world-class musicians including Steve Bartek (Oingo Boingo), Doane Perry (Jethro Tull) and Scott Thurston (Tom Petty). Unfortunately I had to learn another hard lesson from the music industry and had to start over. So I regrouped and set my priorities on honing my songwriting and recording skills. Lately I have been working with producer/ engineer Chris Fuhrman (Innocence Mission, A Fine Frenzy) who has been helping me to create my own California Americana sound. The result is a collection of songs that reflect on difficult feelings and even more difficult relationships.
